Kinver Auto Club - Kinver riders rip to seven trophies

Last weekend the Teme Valley club hosted the latest meeting in the Midlands region. The club was some what caught out by the weather, rain for most of the previous week plus lots forecast for Sunday no provisions had been made for watering, so with strong winds dust played a major roll in the days racing making visibility very difficult for both riders and spectators alike. Never the less you can only ride what’s in front of you and Kinver riders made most of the conditions picking up seven trophies on the day.

Carrying on from the previous week Louis Hill in the MX2 senior class romped home with three straight wins for first over all followed home by fellow Kinver rider Sam Price who scored twenty eight points for second overall, congratulations to both riders who now have enough points to progress to the expert class.

Josh Bates in the junior class picked up another trophy finishing second overall with twenty five points, Kinver also had a trio of third places James Shand scored twenty nine points in the expert class, Ben Hodgkins in the inters class scored twenty eight points and Andy Jenkins in the MX1 seniors scored twenty four points. Last weekend also saw the first round of the veteran series. Kinver had six riders taking part with Jim Shand having a excellent day finishing equal on sixty five points but being given second overall due to the results in the last race. Nigel Hackett scored thirty three points, Mick Hudson picked up twenty points and Steve Chamberlain scored eleven. Jonathan Smith and John Williams failed to score but had a enjoyable day.
