Fathers Day Fun at White Rose MXC (ORPA)

Despite the continuing poor weather affecting the country, a break in the bad conditions proved long enough for the popular Grangemoor track to be whipped into shape for Round 7 of the Club Championship. The damp start to the day soon broke to allow some welcome blue skies and great racing.

The highlight of the day for some was the special Fathers Day race, which saw a good entry and victory in the two lap race go to Chris `The Rocket` Ross, who came from behind to narrowly edge out Lee Ward to runner up spot. Third over the line was Richard Hirst.

In the Expert A Class saw three good wins from three for David Hanby giving him the overall victory. Two second places and a third Gave Michael Ogden second on the day, with Lee Harris coming home third overall.

A win and two second places gave Dan Wainwright the overall win in the B Class, ahead of James Walker in second and Alex Ackroyd in third overall.

In the C Class, Jason Jones took the overall win with two first places and a second . Ash Senior produced a good performance for second overall, with Mattie Roberts taking third on the day.
Two wins a second gave Jack Hills a deserved overall win in the Youth Open class. Second overall went to Josh Seymour, with Connor Smith taking third.

In the BW 85 class, a great three from three for Joe Sutcliffe gave him the overall win. Two second places and a third gave Brad Lilburn second overall, with Rob Ainley coming home third.

Ben Knight put in a great days work, taking three good wins in the SW 85 class. Two second places helped Tom Haddock claim second on the day, with Callum Cooper taking third overall.

Two wins and a second gave Patrick Jackson a good win in the 65 class, just ahead of Elliot Barrass in second. Third on the day went to Jonty Wright.

Jonty Wright followed up his good performance in the 65 class with a great three from three in the Auto Class. Ben Clarkes three second places gave him second overall, with Oliver Woods taking third.

A big thanks to all the Whiterose marshalls, lapscorers and medical crew and also all the riders that came out, despite the poor weather conditions leading up to the event.
