Due to prolonged heavy rain over the past week the track at Cardenden is now waterlogged , so the decision has been made to move the second round of the SACU Scottish Motocross Championships this weekend to the sandy track at Leuchars, near St Andrews. The track was the setting for the first round of the championship and provided close fought action over the recently revamped circuit.

With other major events across the UK this weekend being cancelled we might just now see a few quick boys coming up to Leuchars for Youth Championships on Saturday , and Adults on Sunday getting some sand practice in advance of next weeks Maxxis British Championship 3rd RD at Lyng.

Competitors can still enter this weekend’s SACU Round 2 by downloading the exsisting forms headed ‘Cardenden’ from and send them to Vicki Brown with any cheques made payable to FCOMC.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause however we hope you can understand our desire to continue with this Championship Round , and the decision to use this sand track during these extreme weather conditions.
The Leuchars track is situated at Comerton Farm off Earlshall Rd, Leuchars, KY16 0DP, and practice starts at 10 with racing commencing at 11.20. Motocross is a great family day out with admission is being kept artificially low at £5, accompanied children under 14 get in free.

Many thanks to the FCOMC and Glenrothes Clubs for allowing this to go ahead.
