Ty Kellett makes an appearance at South Somerset presentation night

Turns out that Stephen Sword wasn’t the star attraction at the South Somerset Motocross Club presentation after all. After Stephen presented the array of trophies many thought the highlight of the evening was over, but then in Rock Star style Ty Kellett came in through the back door and stole the show!

Of course Swordy didn’t mind coming second best on this occasion and he was as equally surprised and pleased as everyone else to see Ty there. Only a few clubs members knew that Ty was coming along after he’d been given special permission by his doctors as he continues to improve at alarming rate following his horrific injuries at the Weston Beach Race which left him in coma.

He collected his award from Stephen and then spent the rest of the night talking and continually smiling, something that everyone else found themselves doing. It really lit up the place and it was great to see Ty and his family join their extended ‘motocross family’. No doubt Ty will not be riding anytime soon, but just to see him up and about is wonderful news. Good luck with your recovery Ty.
