Simpson, Brown and Greedy make O2 Supercross a success

Round two of the British Supercross championship ended up a pretty cool night out for thousands who packed the O2 Arena in London.

Riders are all smiles before the action kicks off at the O2

The crowd which were a good mix of industry folk and general public sat back and watched the best of the SX Brits quite literally go bar to bar, with Shaun Simpson taking the SX1 final in his first British outing on the LS Honda 450.
“It was a mixed night for me but I set out to win the SX1 Pro Class and not get injured, and that is what I did,” said Shaun. “I had a few dodgy starts, but I was the only guy tripling the back section so I was able to make up a lot of time there. The Honda’s power meant I could square off the corners and use its grunt to skip over the obstacles. It felt really balanced on what was a fairly tight and technical track so I was really happy with its performance. Riding Supercross is always good fun, and to win on my debut was great, however now I am focused one hundred percent on motocross and carrying this momentum into the pre-season internationals.”

The only whip I saw all night, come on riders let it go over the finish line!

KTM’s Mike Brown who landed on the Saturday morning minus his suspension showed the youngsters how its done by taking the SX2 final from Ashley Greedy and Neville Bradshaw.

Riders were saying Greedy needs to cool down a bit in the 1to1 race - fun and safe riding is where its at.

In the British open final Ashley Greedy went one better and took the win from Tom Church and Jack Brunell.
