No broken bones for Max Nagl after Faenza crash

Max Nagl was involved in a huge start straight crash with Britain’s Graeme Irwin on Sunday in Faenza. After watching it first hand it looked bad for the German KTM star but thankfully after numerous checks, Max has only suffered bad bruising to his thigh.

Max Nagl: “A catastrophic weekend. On Saturday I break out the lens and on Sunday then the fall. I am at the entrance to the launch popped out to first run the automatic choke. I got up just before the start they tried reinzubekommen again. Support by the mechanic is there no longer allowed. I decided to start without several times I had to pull the clutch the first few meters, because the bike would otherwise have risen. I wanted to drop back a little to get better through the first corner, but did not expect that another driver is very early on the brakes. Yes, I’ve taken and then I think we are in a threesome overthrown. At first I thought it was broken at the thigh, luckily it’s only a bruise. When we are back in Belgium tomorrow I will immediately begin physical therapy and see if we are making this week for Holzgerlingen. My two teammates Antonio Cairoli and Jeffrey Herlings, congratulations on winning the World Cup.”
