Karro and Parker prepare for the GP of Bulgaria

Team STR KTM’s Matiss Karro and Nathan Parker go into round two of the FIM World Championship at Sevlievo in Bulgaria, quietly confident following a strong performance in the first round in Holland.

Despite having a tough first race at the Valkenswaard Circuit, Karro was able to grab 12th place overall after finishing 10th in the second race, while Parker’s times marked him out as someone that will regularly score points this season.

Team STR have made a very impressive start to the British Motorcross season. Karro is on a hot run of form after a victory in the second round of the British MX Championship at Canada Heights. The team will be looking to carry this fine form into the Bulgarian GP.

Commenting ahead of round two, Steve Turner said:

“We’re currently on our way to Bulgaria having left yesterday. The whole team have put a lot of effort in this week. It’s been hard work but the whole team is enthusiastic and quietly confident going into this weekend’s action.”

“Both Matiss and Nathan have been training and practising really hard. Matiss is a big fan of the track and is really looking forward to getting out there and out on the course. Nathan’s put in a lot of effort since the last race and has been happy with his pace and is really looking forward to the weekend getting underway.”

Matiss Karro said:

“I’m feeling really good ahead of the weekend. I’ve been out practising today and will be out again in preparation for the conditions in Bulgaria.”

“This race will be totally different from the last and I think all the drivers will be a lot closer together. I’m hoping for two good races on Sunday and continuing to build on the season so far.”

Nathan Parker said:

“I’m looking forward to the Bulgarian GP. In my first year in the World Championship I’m looking to consistently achieve top 20 finishes. Bulgaria is regarded as being less physically demanding so I think this is definitely achievable.”
