Honda returns in force to this year’s International Dirt Bike Show, held at Stoneleigh Park (1-4 November) with a fantastic array of production, competition and ‘alternative’ CRF machinery ready to feature on the Honda stand.
The Honda CRF off-road range has once again proven its credentials throughout the 2012 season with several high-profile racing victories across championships the world over. For 2013 there are several additions to the range – with an aim to continue the winning vein. The much anticipated 2013 CRF450R is very much part of this direction and will be on display to show goers throughout.
In addition to the new CRF450R, for the hardcore race fan and competitive rider, a selection of prototype Special Edition motocross models, including the Geico Honda CRF250R, Buildbase Honda CRF250R and Geico Honda CRF150RB, will also be exhibited.
Two new road-legal enduro models – CRF250XRL and CRF450XRL – are also set to be released in the coming months, both of which will feature on the Honda stand, alongside Honda’s popular CRF250L road-going trail bike.
In addition to this, Nico’ Aubin’s Buildbase Honda CRF450R – the machine on which he won the 2012 Red Bull Pro Nationals MX1 title – will be on display in all its winning glory! Nico’ Aubin himself will also be in attendance – scheduled to appear on Saturday 3 November – whilst new Buildbase Honda team-mate, Steve Ramon, will make an appearance on the opening day of the show, Thursday 1 November.
Aside from several starring roles on track, Honda’s CRF250R is also the choice of 007 in the latest Bond adventure Skyfall, out in cinemas this week. The ‘Police’ and ‘Street Merchant’s’ bikes, dressed in their Turkish guises, proved to be the machine of choice by the film’s action vehicle and stunt crew teams, and feature in the high-octane opening chase sequence which sees James Bond (Daniel Craig), pursue henchman Patrice (Ola Rapace) through the streets of Istanbul, Turkey. Both machines will be showcased on the Honda stand.
