Herlings wins Brazilian dust-up

Jeff Herlings finally got the better of his KTM team-mate Ken Roczen in Sunday’s Brazailian GP at the Honda-owned Indiaituba circuit near Sao Paulo – but only after Roczen crashed twice.

Roczen easily beat Herlings in the opening race but the Dutchman was closer second time out.

With 10 minutes left, Roczen fell. He remounted and gave chase but fell again. Their lead was still big enough for him to finish second from Yamaha’s Gautier Paulin who took third overall.

Tommy Searle was fourth overall with two fourth place finishes, both times in front of Zach Osborne.

Max Anstie took sixth with two solid rides, despite him not feeling too well.

In the MX1 race, David Philippaerts and Tony Cairoli had a win and second each, with the Yamaha man’s win in the second race clinching the overall.

Clement Desalle got third despite crashing in both races. He even fell while leading the second moto, and finished fourth both times out.

Steven Frossard was fourth overall from Steve Ramon and Max Nagl.

Shaun Simpson looked uncomfortable as he cruised to 16th place.

Jason Dougan failed to finish the first race after crashing and hurting his hand. He sat out race two.
