Gates ready to drop for the Dave Thorpe EVO Motocross Series Round 1

This Sunday see’s the eagerly anticipated Round 1 of the Dave Thorpe EVO Motocross which is taking place at Waggadon Farm, Torrington.

A great line up of riders has been received for this event which also includes Round 2 of the Pre 83 125cc British Championship, Twinshock and Modern Motocross machines so there will be a vast array of machinery fighting it out.

There will be on site catering, bouncy castles, display and trade stands for you to look at plus the race paddock will be open so you can walk around and see the machines up close and talk to the riders.
The club already have over 200 entries but are still looking for a few more twinshocks, so if you fancy a ride then contact Liz on 01271 324357.

A marquee will be up on Saturday with music, bring your own drinks though.

The track is up and looking good also there will be a new GP start gate in action for the first time.
Practice begins at approx. 9.15am with the first Championship race off the line at approx. 11.15am.
Admission is £5 for adults with under 14’s free.

Due to road works in Barnstaple taking place that weekend the track will be signposted off the A361 at Barnstaple but then Diversion signs need to be followed to Barn Henge roundabout (with large stones on) then back towards the A39 on the normal route. Event signs will be out on the road where possible. The circuit is located along the B3232 towards Torrington.

The Road will be closed from 5pm on the 21st April until 12pm Sunday night. Please ensure you leave a little earlier to cover the slight diversion.

Camping is available at the circuit from the Friday evening.
This event will not be one to be missed.
