Off again for the second round of the Red Bull Pro Nationals, saw us travel to Fatcats MotoParc at Doncaster.
The tracked looked awesome, again Events 22 had done a brilliant job with the track, and I could not wait for qualifying to start on Saturday morning.
9.00 am Rookies out first for Qualifying, qualifying was hard and soon roughed up; it didn’t go as well as I had planned and I qualified 7th.
First race of the day about 6th out of the gate, the start was hard; the start came from the inside, pushed hard through the race, got into 3rd and made a mistake and was overtaken, eventually finishing 4th.
Race 2, gated 8th but pushed hard through the first few corners and came out 5th, I pushed hard overtook 2 riders and eventually finished third.
Race 3, had a good start, the track was rough now, riders going down all over the place, racing was hard, not a bad start but had to work hard, and came through to finish 3RD, pulled off some good lap times throughout the race.
Sunday, it had rained since midnight; the track had been graded the night before, the track was very wet, the Pro’s were out first, it didn’t take long before the track was difficult to ride.
Race 4, gated well but the bike wheelied up the start straight, to get it under control backed off and lost a few places, came out about tenth, but pushed hard and eventually got up to finish 4th.
Race 5, best race of the day, the track was hard, rough and boggy, had a brilliant start, gated 1st, the bike came out the start like a rocket, I got a few bike length lead and gradually pulled away, finishing 1st with a 15 second lead, my best result of the weekend.
I finished 2nd overall, but to my amazement took the red plate and now lead the Championship.
I would like to thank all my sponsors for their continued support.
Overall Results for the weekends:
