Big wins and big trucks - RDH owner shows Tommy the way with a double scoop!

June 16th saw the start of the TSC World Twinshock Championships in Culham, Oxfordshire. The two-day, four moto event was won by RDH Motorhomes director Richard Wood (left). Richard, riding a 1981 Yamaha YZ 125H beat an international field and received the world championship title for 2007. “I’m over the moon,” said Richard, “I couldn’t have asked for better, I have been riding and competing in MX for years and won many trophies but this is special”.

More good news for RDH and young gun Tommy Searle. Tommy, who is sponsored by the RDH Race Team and uses one of their vehicles as a home from home, recently secured his first MX2 win in Sweden (round 9) after battling his way to the front of the pack. Tommy held his position to gain the win despite the current points leader Antonio Cairoli snapping at his heels. Richard believes that his win may have shown Tommy how it’s done, do we have another world champ in the making?

But the really big news is that RDH motorhomes are now the sole UK dealer for RS Motorhomes, something they are really pleased with. Richard said “We have now expanded our international range of products by adding the best of British – the RS Motorhome range is world renowned and second to none in the motorbike world, expertly designed, fabricated and built here in the UK by skilled craftsmen. They are luxurious, yet practical and you really have to see these vehicles in person to appreciate how good they are, if you want a large quality motorhome there’s no need to go American. It really feels more like a home on wheels than anything I have ever come across.”

The ultimate team trucks and rider homes will now be sold from the RDH motorhome centre alongside vehicles from Burstner, Chausson and Kentucky Camp. The RDH race team sponsors MX and Superbike riders as well as offering privateers and hobbyists’ great deals on bike-oriented motorhomes. Richard continued, “I think this win shows that RDH motorhomes isn’t just cashing in on a market like some of the other dealers, you have to ‘walk it like you talk it’ to be credible. We care about this sport and everyone involved and we can offer these athletes the high quality vehicles they deserve, MX has a great community and its good to be part of that.”

RDH Motorhomes have new and used vehicles to satisfy most budgets and specifications, plus with a central location near Nottingham just 10 minutes from Jct28 of the M1 RDH should be first on the list if you are in the market for a motorhome. ”
