27th March 2011 sees the ACU British Enduro Cross Country Championship get underway in North Yorkshire. Riders from all over the UK will be attending, established as one of the top promoters in the country, Rideoffroaduk are responsible for promoting and running the event.
Low North Camp, Harwood Dale is the venue. The Scarborough and District Motor Club and committee have a good understanding of the importance of bringing an event of this stature to the North of England.
Ex trials and World Extreme Enduro star Wayne Braybrook and his wife Sonya will be at the helm as the organisers, the planned route of 8km winds its way through the ex army training camps woodland areas, MX track, and it will all be linked together by numerous open tracks and trails.
The event will start at 10am Sunday 27th March with a two hour support event for Sportsman Hobby, British Over50 and Ladies. After a short break for lunch it will be the turn of the main British Cross Country Championship for Pro/Expert, Over40 and Clubman riders, they will be on track for a full two and a half hours.
The venue is very spectator friendly, having concrete access roads and ample hard standing spectator parking. Two official spectator areas will be laid on next to the thick of the action. On site are toilets and catering facilities, all members of the general public must follow marshals’ instructions and on site safety signs.
