Powerband Racing Redbull Nationals Round 3

The Redbull Nationals hit the heights at the weekend with mixed weather reports playing havoc all over the country. The Powerband Racing team arrived on the Friday afternoon in glorious sunshine and with the track in perfect condition. Saturday racing was excellent throughout all the classes which kept everyone entertained, however due to overnight heavy rain falls, Sunday racing was unfortunately cancelled so only Saturdays results counted.

65cc Team riders Tom Grimshaw & Christopher Mills kick off in great fashion with Tom setting pole and Christopher 2nd in timed qualification, however it was Christopher who came out on top in the racing with 1, 2, 1 score card for 1st overall. Tom experienced some bad luck in race 1 when his chain de-railed on the last lap while holding 2nd position. Tom bounced back & won race 2 with a 3rd place in the final moto for 5th Overall.

85cc Team leader George Grigg Pettitt had a good days racing finishing 5th overall. George had a mixed day as in one moto he came through the pack from 30th position to 9th (great charge) and in race two George holeshot the moto and rode really well for his best race result 3rd.

Powerband Racing next stop is the Round 3, British Youth 14th & 15th July Pontrilas, Herefordshire.

Many thanks for your support.
