American company Fly Racing, based in Boise, Idaho, produces professional-grade motocross, BMX, MTB, off-road, ATV, snowmobile and watercraft apparel and hard parts. Established in 1998, it began solely as a manufacturer of motorcycle handlebars and helmets, but has quickly developed into one of the fastest growing powersports apparel brands in the competitive North American market.
Fly Racing moto racewear includes jerseys, pants, gloves, riding socks, riding shorts, base layers and riding jackets. There is also a complete range of helmets – including the F2 Carbon Fastback, with advanced carbon/kevlar construction, dual density EPS liner and a multi-port air induction cooling system – four models of goggles, and protection such as roost guards, body armour, neck braces, knee guards, elbow guards and kidney belts.
Its hard parts remain popular, particular handlebar models such as the Aero Tapered, which is constructed of aircraft-grade 7075 taper-walled aluminum and has a bead-blasted surface for added strength. Also available are grips, perches, kill switches, bike stands, straps, bar mount kits, levers, hot starts, holeshot devices, ramps and tools.
A number of top American motocross riders use Fly Racing products, most notably Trey Canard and Andrew Short, both currently using the F2 Carbon helmet as they ride high in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship 450 class. Other leading motorsport names wearing Fly Racing include motocross rider Zack Lowry, FMX star Anthony Murray and quad freestyler Marco Picado.
